Text Box: FORWARD NOTICE
20th October 2010 is 'Crash Course' day at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.

The aim of this full day event will be to make everyone who attends a safer driver and less likely to be killed or injured in a road accident (or to injure someone else).   This is relevant to all drivers for work or leisure, whether you drive six thousand miles a year or a month.  For employers it helps to protect your most valuable asset and demonstrates your commitment to safety.

 Forward Notice

In addition to Crash Course the Management of Occupational Road Risk seminar will cover fleet management (from a few vehicles to thousands) and driver risk assessments.  As an added bonus, delegates will also be able to visit the Duxford Air Museum free of charge after the event.

To see what 'Crash Course' is all about click here (Adobe Reader needed).

Please be aware that the leaflet and the presentation contain photographs of serious accidents.

About Us

The Cambridge Occupational Safety Group was formed in the 1970's by a small number of Health and Safety Professionals.  Its objective is to provide information, networking and support for anyone with an interest in Health and Safety; and we especially aim to help, provide support and offer guidance for small to medium size enterprises who may not employ their own in-house specialists.

The group meets each month from September to June, with a break over the summer holidays and Christmas. A wide range of topics are discussed and the group has been recognised as having an one of the best programmes of talks and activities, winning the Alan Butler Award for Best Overall Programme (for groups of up to 65 members) organised by the National Health & Safety Groups Council (now SGUK) in both 2003 and 2004.

Meetings of the COSG take a variety of formats, with talks by professional speakers from industry, Health and Safety special interest groups and the HSE, visits to sites of interest and networking opportunities. Our meetings are open to anyone with an interest in Health and Safety topics - please see the Programme page for details of where and when our next meeting will take place.

The Group currently has about 50 members representing all types of businesses throughout Cambridgeshire.

Who is the Group for?
All businesses in the county can benefit from sharing their health and safety knowledge and experience. If you are interested in joining us, please submit your details on our online enquiry form and we will contact you.
